Tasks
-Leading and managing the bridge engineering department, including staff oversight, resource planning, and workload distribution -Contributing to P3 and alternative delivery proposals for major transportation initiatives -Managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships to ensure successful delivery -Ensuring quality control and compliance with TDOT, AASHTO, and other applicable standards -Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative, growth-focused team culture -Driving innovation in bridge design and inspection practices -Contributing to strategic planning and growth initiatives alongside firm leadership -Representing the firm at client meetings, industry events, and public forums -Overseeing the design and analysis of highway bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other structural elements -Collaborating with regional leadership to assist East Region states (GA, SC, AL) on structural projects, including railroad work -Supporting business development and proposal efforts, including TDOT and municipal pursuits

What You Bring
-Familiarity with bridge inspection and rating programs -Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain quickly) -Proven experience managing teams and delivering complex DOT projects -Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills -8+ years of bridge/structural engineering experience -Advanced knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications -Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., LEAP Bridge, OpenBridge, LARSA, STAAD, or similar) -Strong knowledge of TDOT standards and procedures
