The Role

Overview

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems for gas transmission.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. -Calibrate, test, and maintain instrumentation to ensure compliance with operational standards. -Perform planned preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems. -Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults to minimise downtime. -Ensure all work is completed safely, in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety procedures. -Participating in a standby rota once fully trained, typically 1 week in every 4 or 5, dealing with various faults. -Support operational teams during planned shutdowns and emergency repairs. -Assist with installation, commissioning, and modifications of E&I equipment.

What You Bring

-Full UK car driving licence -Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, fault-finding and calibration -Worked in industries including (but not limited to) FMCG, the broader utilities, military or aviation -Familiarity with safety management systems and permit-to-work procedures -Knowledge of SCADA or control systems - desirable -BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations -Strong knowledge of ATEX regulations and hazardous area equipment -Ideally (but not essential), you'll possess an in date certificate in any of the following: -C&G 2377 PAT Testing -Appreciation of systems and equipment associated with other engineering disciplines within the oil and gas (or other similar process) industry - desirable -BTEC National Certificate (or equivalent City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ Level 3) in an electrical or instrumentation discipline -Time-served apprenticeship (or other recognised training scheme) in an electrical or instrumentation discipline
