Tasks

-Mentors Civil/Structural engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development -Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries for the project to which assigned -Designs structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering -Originates and checks complex Civil/Structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions -Plans and conducts independent Civil/Structural work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of Civil/Structural engineering techniques, procedures and criteria on a medium size project or assignment in support of a global business unit -Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data -Develops conceptual designs for Civil/Structural engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements -Leads the design, development, modification, and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) and Design Control Check List (DCCL) and Design Review Notices (DRNs) -Leads constructability reviews -Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements -Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting

Benefits

-Hourly Range: $57.59 - $87.82 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)
