Tasks

In this role, you’ll design and implement cutting-edge automation solutions, leveraging IEC 61850, MicroSCADA, and substation communication systems to ensure grid resilience and security. You’ll work alongside industry experts, contribute to projects that integrate renewable energy, and help utilities optimize performance in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. -Drive continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes and standards. -Engage with customers to optimize system performance and ensure satisfaction. -Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines. -Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices. -Provide technical leadership and resolve design challenges during execution. -Design and configure automation and communication systems for power networks. -Develop engineering documentation and technical specifications for projects. -Support proposal development with technical input and cost recommendations. -Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. -Proficiency with industry standards and vendor technologies. -Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. -Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. -Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, SCADA systems, and substation automation. -12–16 years of experience in automation and communication engineering.
