Fire Protection Designer/EIT

Assist senior engineers designing fire protection systems and ensuring code compliance.

Tasks

-Check the drawings on a continuing basis to ensure accuracy and completeness, and promote the skills of designers and drafters -Meet with clients and contractors -Interpret engineering data for designers and drafters -Review and summarize applicable codes, and record them for inclusion in the design record -Coordinate work with other disciplines and consultants -Assist in writing the specifications in conjunction with the Technical Services Department -Check contract documents and shop drawings, and answer requests for information -Assist on the fire protection portions of projects under the direction of a Senior Fire Protection Engineer -Monitor the schedule and budgets for projects

What You Bring

-Experience in a technical design or consulting role involving fire protection or other building systems -Good working knowledge of, and experience with, Autodesk Products such as AutoCAD, REVIT, and Navisworks -Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate -Local candidates preferred
