Tasks

-Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects -Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed -Engineering design of repairs to structures or components. -Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications -You will learn from others and develop relationships with your managers, colleagues, etc. -Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects -Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions -Assisting senior structural engineers with developing project scopes including reinforced concrete, foundation and structural steel designs, engineering estimates, capital cost estimates and developing repair methodologies. -Use the application of Civil/ Structural engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in a multidiscipline project environment. -Working independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.

What You Bring

-You will be able learn about the different sectors, processes, people and culture that drives our business -Successfully passing Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam a plus -Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills. -Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems. -Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams. -Ability to apply your skills to challenging, interesting, and meaningful projects, while working alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people -Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university. -Candidates with previous Heavy Industrial Internship or Co-op experience is an asset. -Knowledge of AISC and ACI codes is a plus. -Knowledge of structural steel and concrete design is a plus. -Strong personal commitment to safety.
