Tasks
-Organize and maintain financial records. -Support the accurate inventory reporting for all Lines of Business (Aggregates, Asphalt, Ready-mix), as needed. This will include production reporting, periodic inventory adjustments, and inventory reconciliations. -Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, inventory adjustments, reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting, and other areas assigned. -Work on ad hoc projects and assignments as directed. -Assist with quarterly SEC GAAP Reporting Pack schedules as directed. -Assist with the Fixed Assets and Construction Revenue Recognition processes as needed. -Maintain accounting records, ensuring all transactions are correctly documented and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards. -Adhere to all assigned controls and ensure that they are executed in a timely manner to safeguard the financial assets of the company and ensure accurate financial reporting. This includes all SOX controls, CRH Americas Materials (CRH AMAT) and Northeast Division accounting policies and procedures. -Assist with internal and external audits as directed by the VP of Finance and Assistant Controller. -Prepare all assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure appropriate backup. -Collaborate with others to help create and implement continued improvements and efficiencies within the department, as well as the Company. -Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

What You Bring
-Ability to work independently with attention to detail. -Strict adherence to Dolomite’s policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual. -Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook programs. -Adherence to accounting manual and SOX controls. -Able to move/carry objects up to 25 lbs -Strong organizational skills. -Public accounting or audit background preferred. -Associates degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. -Able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls -Manufacturing and/or construction background is highly desired. -Individual must possess strong problem-solving skills; ability to identify and investigate potential problems with respect to accounting and internal control issues. -Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus -Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Dolomite Company employees. -Minimum of one to three years of relevant work experience. -Ability to work effectively in a team setting -Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual. -Individual must possess a questioning mind and the ability to think independently. Ability to challenge situations in a constructive manner and present reasonable alternatives. -May require sitting for extended periods of time -Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints -Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. -Individual must possess strong computer skills and be proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word. -Preferably have proven experience as a Staff Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar role. -Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. -Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. -Individual must possess a working knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts. Must demonstrate strong numerical skills and the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions. Attention to detail and presentation of the work product to a high standard is required.
