What You Bring

-An ability to present appropriate information in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing -An understanding of the operating model of a specialist consulting business -Project Management training -Be prepared to travel on occasion for project related work when required. This could be working from other Coffey offices within the UK or abroad for defined periods of time; or on client sites within the UK or abroad -Potential for project-dependent security clearance to be requested. -Geological Society course on Temporary Works Groundwater Control for Construction -Enthusiasm and a keen interest in continually developing your groundwater consultancy skills within a geotechnical engineering environment -Be prepared to contribute to projects with a degree of technical complexity -Good interpersonal skills and a strong team focus -Postgraduate qualification (MSc, MEng or PhD) in a related field (e.g. hydrogeology/engineering geology/geotechnical engineering) is an advantage -Working knowledge of geotechnical practice and standards, including pumping tests and permeability testing, Eurocode 7 and UK annex design codes, ground investigation and construction contracts and specifications -A current UK Driving Licence is preferred. -Experience of pumping tests, permeability testing and groundwater monitoring and sampling -Desire to apply detailed knowledge of hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering and project management principles -Chartered or working towards Chartered status through an appropriate professional body -Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Civil Engineering or similar -Knowledge of and experience in the use of spreadsheets and specialist groundwater software such as SEEP/W, MODFLOW, FEFLOW or similar industry standard software.
