The Role

Manage benefits, compliance, and employee relations for Irby Construction.

Tasks

-Oversee FMLA, ADA, and leave of absence programs in compliance with federal and state regulations. -Manage all benefits transactions, including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA, disability, and life claims. -Assist with the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. -Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, accident, retirement, and wellness benefit programs. -The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift items weighing up to 15 pounds. -Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors. -Maintain HR records, personnel files, and HRIS data integrity. -Coordinate and lead annual open enrollment, including preparing employee communications and assisting with employee education. -Act as the primary point of contact for employees on benefit-related questions, issues, and claims resolution. -Investigate and help resolve employee relations issues such as complaints, grievances, and policy concerns. -Respond to employee requests and questions, providing HR support and guidance. -Conduct new hire benefit presentations. -Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (EEO, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.). -File compliance reports including EEO-1 and OSHA logs as required. -Monitor employee records and HRIS for accuracy and completeness. -Administer unemployment claims and manage rehire eligibility processes.

What You Bring

-Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. -Proficiency with HRIS, benefits enrollment systems, and Microsoft Office Suit. -High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. -Frequent use of hands and fingers is required for data entry, document preparation, and computer use. -This position is primarily sedentary and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Strong knowledge of benefits administration, compliance, and employment law. -Excellent Communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. -The role requires the ability to communicate clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone. -Specific vision abilities required include close vision to prepare and analyze data, read reports, and work on a computer.
