Tasks

The New Construction Sales Rep will be responsible for increasing sales of new construction projects by developing, coordinating and executing the new construction sales strategy and process – to include lead development, obtaining necessary documents, plans and schedules, preparing take-off’s, quotes and proposals, updating CRM and building relationships with key Developers, GC’s and sub contractors. This role requires close communication and coordination with internal departments (Sales Support, CRM analyst, marketing, accounting, and shipping) to ensure schedules are met. The candidate will also work closely with the territory sales managers. This position is based in the Plano, TX HQ. -Insure a positive customer experience and develop lasting relationships -Develop and nurture strong customer contacts, positive relationships and participates in closing strategic opportunities. -Submit accurate and timely reporting of pertinent sales activities -Collect and analyze sales data and trends. -Follow up consistently with prospects to convert cold leads into opportunities -Liaise with sales and marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new programs, offers and products. -Work and challenge the sales team and internal organization to think outside of the box to ensure efficiencies and strategies are in line with company goals -Leverage cold calling, email outreach, and networking to expand pipeline and strengthen market presence -Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring customers’ requirements are met. -Secures new accounts while managing and growing sales revenue of existing key accounts. -Maintain proper relationships with commercial and channel customer segments and key decision makers within Developer and construction firm segments -Engage with property developers to obtain specifications. -Mine construction data (Construc connect, Build Central, local city permit websites) to identify new opportunities to bid, key trends in marketplace, and new product needs -Review project revisions, and determine impacts on price and schedule -Create and execute product promotions to drive sales -Manage overall new construction sales in order to grow and expand new construction sales in the pre-construction phase. -Prepare take-off from construction documents for pricing. -Prepare proposals, RFP’s presentations. -Bid / Negotiate project with general contractors, or other customers -Develops and implements strategic sales plans with management to meet all sales goals and other corporate goals. -Increase product and brand awareness by representing organization in a professional manner -Tracking and creating reporting dashboards in CRM -Keep management aware of commercial developments and trends, both product and market that could affect future business -Preparing Submittals -Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts and reporting for key accounts -Provide management with current competitive information on a continuing basis, including competitive pricing, policy changes, product development, and marketing strategies -Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales. -Work cross-functionally with sales and product teams to coordinate sales activities -Communicate information timely and accurately to customers, and follow-up with any requests for additional information -High-volume cold calling and prospecting to generate new leads and drive pre-construction sales

What You Bring

-Must have a successful history of managing and growing sales revenues. -3 years experience building quotes -Strong business and technical aptitude. -Ideal candidate will have a background of meeting and exceeding quota in technical or construction sales, preferably both. -Must have strong working knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Outlook. -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. -Must have a demonstrated track record of working under minimal direct supervision. -Daily use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM -Experience selling technology within the construction industry; hotel, and lodging sector. -BS degree in business or similar field, or minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales. -Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of building successful client relationships.
