Tasks

-Lead civil/structural engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with BS, Eurocodes, and ENA standards -Project Execution: Manage design, analysis, and consultancy for T&D infrastructure, including substations, overhead lines, and underground cables. -Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to client transmission procedures and industry best practices. -Innovation & Efficiency: Develop new methodologies, refine engineering processes, and integrate BIM principles (Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla Tedds). -Quality Assurance: Approve designs, conduct technical reviews, and maintain compliance with CDM Regulations. -Client Engagement & Business Growth: Drive customer success, support bids, and foster relationships to expand our presence in the sector. -Collaboration & Development: Support cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and enhance UK civil/structural engineering capabilities.

What You Bring

-Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field). -Expertise in client (National Grid TP, SSEN & SPEN) procedures, CDM 2015, and Temporary Works. -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD/BIM software, and structural analysis tools. -5 years civil/structural design experience in T&D. -Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. -Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IstructE or an equivalent professional licence gained through the professional institution to which the individual is aligned. -7 years civil/structural design experience. -Substation safety training (NSI 30, BESC:AIM). -Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH, APS).Experience as a Contractor Design Approval Engineer (CDAE). -Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders.
