Maintenance Technician I

Overview

Perform routine facility maintenance, coordinate vendors, and ensure building standards.

Tasks

-Assists in set up of company sponsored events. -Complete and document daily and weekly work checklists as assigned and scheduled. -Follows, updates, and executes corrective, preventive, and reactive maintenance duties. -Performs necessary facility related inspections. -Interact and support subcontractor activities -Assist in Site security duties as needed. -Perform and assist housekeeping in special cleaning projects as assigned. -Responsible for moving, storage, and disposal of client tested samples per client protocol. -Remove snow from sidewalks as needed, if required. Dispense salt as needed. -Responsible for implementation and maintenance for facilities department 5S. -Maintain and update campus PM system or work order system -Ensure that the building/site is maintained at expected sanitation and facility maintenance levels.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 1 year forklift experience. -Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. -Ability to utilize shop machine tools. -High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience. -Flexibility to handle off-hour emergency calls pertaining to facilities. -Ability to perform work from ladders, scaffolds, and powered lift platforms. -General maintenance experience, including a practical ability to perform various carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks. -Ability to wear safety gear as needed to perform specific functions. -Must be able to assemble and disassemble various types of modular office furniture including partitions and wall sections. -Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions. -Experience with Maintenance Management Systems is a plus. -Ability to be subject to both internal and external environmental conditions. -Valid NYS driver’s license.
