Tasks

-Provide technical support and problem resolution during system activities. -Oversee special projects involving technical, field personnel, consultants, and contractors. -Conduct engineering work utilizing engineering principles and practices and adapting it to the assigned discipline in support of work planning and facilities design of natural gas system requirements associated with the M&R / Gas Plants Capital programs. -Work with M&R supervisors to understand operational and maintenance issues at our field locations. -Ensure regulatory compliance. -There will be limited hands on field work, working with supervisors and other personnel involved in the project field equipment. -Provide technical assistance in implementing special programs and new processes. -Expand knowledge of PSE&G operations through Company development programs and on-the-job training. -Work with M&R supervisors to develop plans to improve operations and efficiency through process improvements and modernization.

What You Bring

-Must have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong planning and organizing skills, must be adaptable and results-oriented -Possess leadership skills, professionalism and customer/client focus -Advanced technical degree/training/certification, Six Sigma, EIT or P.E license -Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience -Familiarity with gas utility best practices, Federal, NJ Administrative, and ASME/ASTM pressure piping codes and Company tariff -B.S. in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineering or equivalent degree or technical experience -Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment -Must possess a valid U.S. driving license and maintain a safe driving record -Must be willing to work OT as required and perform on-call/emergency support as needed -Must have strong written and verbal communications skills -Experience with gas utility facilities e.g. pipelines, M&R (city gate) stations, gas peaking plants, LNG facilities, or LP facilities -Possess a working knowledge of gas flow dynamics, system planning, natural gas composition, corrosion control, instrumentation, flow measurement and control. -Candidate must be able to interface effectively with a diverse organization and have excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and must maintain and apply a working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls -Strong computer skills in MS Office applications -Experience in working on M&R, Plant, and regulator station designs
