Project Landscape Architect

Overview

Design, manage, and oversee landscape architecture projects and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope. -Draft, review, and seal all plans and plats required for assigned projects. -Achieve or exceed budgets individual utilization targets. -Prepare inter-practice agreements and/or outside requests as required. -Chart and provide task performance results. -Conduct and submit timely annual Employee Performance Appraisals for assigned staff. -Prepare preliminary concept designs for submit and approval. -Ensure projects comply with ISO standards. -Meet bi-weekly (or more frequently as necessary) with management to review marketing results. -Draft, review, and produce accurate and attractive report graphics. -Conduct field construction observations and prepare detailed reports of findings for review. -Review research materials from Federal, state and local agencies. -Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters. -Manage the work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required. -Comply with all KCI policies and procedures. -Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval. -Conduct project site research and analysis to determine potential project density and intensity and identify development constraints. -Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required. -Compare field data to base plan and design plans. -Assist with receivables management. -Provide technical oversight for projects and staff. -Mentor and train staff. -Ensure effective use of equipment and personnel within budget parameters. -Conduct site visits and gather data. -Provide input for monthly progress reports for all tasks.

What You Bring

-Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. -Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program. -Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. -Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. -Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery. -Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) License -Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. -Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring L andscape Architecture projects.
