Tasks

-Design substations that meet client needs, budgets, and deadlines -Support and train engineers and CAD technicians -Follow safety, quality, and environmental rules (OHSAS 18001, ISO9001, ISO14001) -Visit sites often and stay connected with the operations team -Work closely with teams and clients to deliver projects smoothly -Join design reviews and help improve standards and processes -Help with tenders, contracts, and technical drawings

What You Bring

-5+ years’ experience in power transmission and substation design -Bonus: MSc, chartership, expert in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and power system tools -Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels -Knowledge of related areas: overhead lines, civil design, protection & control, HV cables -Skilled in 2D CAD software (Autodesk preferred) -Experience with NGET stage 4.4 design and earthing up to 400kV -Strong knowledge of National Grid, British Standards, and UK design rules -Able to quickly learn new engineering software -Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
