The Role

Overview

Support environmental team with research, training, field work, and sustainability tasks.

Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Assist with developing minutes for conference calls and training -Support the Home Office Environmental department with regulatory research -Participate in field exercises at projects and conduct vendor reviews -Assist with preparation and presentation of environmental training -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Develop environmental articles for newsletter -Assist with electronic solutions and data input to track company sustainability performance -Keep abreast of Federal environmental legislation and regulations and conduct regulatory research -Inventory for Greenhouse Gases and participate in sustainability initiatives

What You Bring

-Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills -Effective time management and organizational skills -Ability to work 30-40 hours in the summer and 5-20 hours during the school year -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Team player but able to work independently to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Willingness and flexibility to travel, as needed -Strong work ethic and professional demeanor -Pursuing a degree in environmental science or related field in environmental compliance or engineering -Regular, reliable attendance -Detail oriented, flexible and highly motivated -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
