Manage HR functions for Energy Division across multiple sites, 200+ employees.

Tasks

-Update and maintain the Energy Division Employee Handbook for Colorado with newly implemented Colorado laws and correlate how the new law affects North Dakota, Utah, Texas, and Wyoming. -Oversee the HR Generalist position to post open positions, arrange interviews, track candidate background checks and drug screens, and create and distribute offer letters with accurate compensation packages on time; track candidate flow with 100% accuracy and efficiency. -Maintain, create and/or update the Energy Division job descriptions and career paths. -Recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed. -Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements. -Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including counseling and investigations. -Create, administer, and provide in-house training programs for human resources and some safety. -Maintains UKG, our HRIS, records and compiles reports from the database. -Maintain organizational charts for the Energy Division. -Recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the department's efficiency and the services performed continuously. -Assist with the compensation program; monitor the performance evaluation program and reviews, as necessary. -Responds timely and efficiently to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and employee issues. -Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures; interpreted, explained, and provided guidance on policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. -Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations. -Through ongoing and continued education, develop and maintain an essential understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices (Title VII, FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), ADA, Leaves of Absence, STD/LTD, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), USERRA (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act), WC, etc.) -Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

What You Bring

-Working experience and knowledge of Colorado employment law is required. -Must support leaders and employees as competent and reliable resource who consistently align with company culture and policies while possessing a solid HR foundation of knowledge, including employment law and compliance requirements. -Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required. -Travel domestically ranges from 5-10% annually. -Automation and Instrumentation -Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly. -Must be able to oversee tasks with confidence. -Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work is required. -Professionals in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) are strongly preferred. -Experience with engineering, manufacturing, construction, and/or oil & gas environments is strongly preferred. -Requires practical time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities. -Ability to understand and communicate our business needs understandably and succinctly. -Excellent collaboration and communication skills; both oral and written are required. Strong editing and proofreading skills are also needed. -Excellent organization, planning skills, and attention to detail are required. -At least five (5) years of experience in a Generalist role is required. -Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills. -A self-directed, self-motivated, and “hungry” mindset is required. -A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is required. -Strong computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required. -LACT Stations, Custody Transfer Metering
