  • Manage the project from the execution phase (Order to Remittance - OTR), Functional Engineering Leaders (such as Control, Platform, Layout/Design leaders)
  • Serve as the primary contact for the Customer and is accountable for working with the tender team to develop of the best technical solutions.
  • Responsible for the overall technical coordination and management during the tendering phase of HVDC project.
  • Provide technical solutions are selected (safe, reliable, cost-effective, easy to install, and operate) in line with customer expectations, while delivering the necessary documentation according to the tender general time schedule
  • Coordinate and manage the global schedule of tender engineering activities, ensure the implementation of Engineering Processes, and oversee technical coordination across the various work packages of large or complex projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring the technical tender design meets deadlines and quality standards.
  • Estimate the project engineering budget and developing the project execution Engineering design strategy in collaboration with the Regional Technical Tendering Leader, the Regional Engineering Leader, and with support from Project Engineering Managers.
  • Coordinate Project Engineers who have led similar projects during the execution stage to leverage

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, customer orientation, stress management, and time management.
  • Experience with relevant standards and codes including IEC 62351, IEEE 1588, IEEE 802, IEEE 1402, IEC 62351, IEC 62501, and NERC CIP
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university Proficiency in English is required, while Arabic or other language skills are a plus
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong team management skills and accountable for team results in order to deliver a high-quality product on time and under budget.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in HVDC system, FACTS, industrial, renewable.
  • Mastering of some engineering processes such as: Civil work, Plant configuration, control &protection hardware, System & performance studies, or Electrical design.
  • Knowledge of Independent System Operators’ and utilities’ technical standards including ConEd, PJM, NE, and NYPA
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time, including international, and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies.
  • Experience in the HVDC/Grid Solution Integration industry is mandatory.
