The Role

Tasks

-Manage and maintain effective commercial relationships with existing and potential clients, customers, and contractors to support business activities. -Support project delivery teams in the optimization of cash flow through management of activity schedules, submission of monthly valuations, and control of supplier accounts. -Develop and implement strategies for solar and energy storage suppliers to meet business objectives. -Responsible for sharing industry knowledge and providing recommendations for continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. -Complies with all policies and standards. -Manage relationships with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and ensure supplier strategies align with business goals. -Support project delivery teams in the management of change events by ensuring they are managed in accordance with the contracts including early warnings, change event notification, and change event quotation. -Review vendor performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary. -Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality products and services are delivered on time and within budget. -Coordinate with engineering on the identification of potential suppliers and evaluation of their capabilities to provide quality products and services. -Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to suppliers. -Responsible for attending and participating in customer and supplier meetings for projects. -Manage the coordination and ensure negotiations of contracts and pricing with suppliers result in cost-effective procurement of goods and services. -Develop and maintain metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement. -Manage partnership with project delivery teams to communicate business drivers and ensure successful outcomes of projects. -Review market research and stay up to date on industry trends, pricing, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies. -Manage monthly internal reporting through clients and internal commercial management procedures. -Manage best practices of Renewable Business commercial terms standards, ensuring its use on projects.

What You Bring

-Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. -Strong knowledge of procurement laws and regulations, as well as negotiation experience with industry client agreements and construction contract agreements. -Project execution experience including project management and vendor management preferred. -Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, and demonstrated budget, savings and/or profit margins success in completed projects. -Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, construction management or related degree from an accredited program and 7 years’ applicable experience required. -Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to identify project goals and work both autonomously and as part of a project team to successfully achieve them. -Experience in solar and energy storage markets preferred. -Ability to apply diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. -Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, project stakeholders and clients.
