The Role

Overview

Track shipments, schedule freight, prepare docs, notify partners of deliveries.

Tasks

-Inform management of ongoing performance issues -Send transportation vendors weekly shipping schedules. -Assist the Transportation Supervisor, Warehouse Specialists, and other team members when needed. -Issue freight arrival notices to internal and external locations through reports and software. -Track and trace all Leaf Home shipments. -Issue parcel arrival notices to internal locations through reports. -Manage location addresses and accessorial needs throughout software/excel as needed. -Update consignee information in software as needed. -May be requested to work overtime on evenings and weekends dependent on business need. -Communicate with transportation vendors as needed. -Build shipments in our internal systems and select the best mode/carrier. -Prepare and proof shipping documents as required. -Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.

What You Bring

-Certification or equivalent in Transportation or Logistics management. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality. -1+ years of Transportation experience. -Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first. -Must possess demonstrated customer service skills and ability. -Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). -Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately. -Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. -Well-developed organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks & deadlines simultaneously. -Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.” -Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion. -Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
