The Role

Overview

Develop and maintain RPA bots to automate real estate finance and operations.

Tasks

-Ensure security best practices: credential vaults (CyberArk/Azure Key Vault), role-based access, audit logs, and PII handling. -Bank and Cash: daily bank feed ingestion, cash reconciliation, and variance alerts. -Market/Regulatory Monitoring: scrape public records, permits, and property tax updates; notify asset managers of changes. -Data Hygiene: normalize rent rolls, COA mapping, unit and tenant IDs, and address standardization for portfolio reporting. -Configure orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring in UiPath Orchestrator/AA Control Room; set up alerting, logging, and dashboards. -Accounts Payable: ingest vendor invoices, 3-way match, post to GL in Yardi/MRI, route exceptions, and reconcile vendor statements. -Build integrations with real estate systems (e.g., RMS, Costar or Realquest) and corporate tools (ERP, CRM, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, SQL). -Implement robust document processing using OCR/IDP (e.g., UiPath Document Understanding) for invoices, lease abstracts, W-9s, and bank statements. -Lease Administration: extract key terms from leases/amendments, update critical dates, rent steps, and options; automate abstract QA. -Partner with business stakeholders to assess processes, quantify ROI, and prioritize an automation pipeline; document PDD/SDD and runbooks. -Collaborate with Data/BI to feed automated outputs into Power BI dashboards and financial reporting packages. -Design, develop, test, and deploy attended and unattended RPA workflows using Power Automate Desktop, UiPath or Automation Anywhere. -Support production operations: incident triage, root cause analysis, SLAs, and continuous improvement. -Create reusable components, libraries, and templates; enforce development standards and code reviews. -Compliance and Lender Reporting: compile DSCR/LTV metrics, covenant tracking, and package submission with document assembly. -Automate end-to-end processes: intake, validation, transformation, system updates, reconciliations, and exception handling. -Resident/Tenant Operations: automate move-in/move-out checklists, delinquency outreach, payment posting, and fee reversals under rules.

What You Bring

-Basic scripting/programming: Python or .NET for custom activities, web scraping, and data transformations. -Experience with real estate platforms (Yardi, MRI, RealPage) and Argus Enterprise exports. -Familiarity with SOX/internal controls, audit evidence, and secure bot credentialing. -RPA: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate Desktop -Security: Azure AD, CyberArk/Azure Key Vault, role-based access -Process mining (Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, Power Automate Process Advisor) and task mining for discovery and ROI sizing. -Experience with OCR/IDP and document classification/extraction; supervised learning models for template variability. -BI/Reporting: Power BI, scheduled refresh, dataflows -3+ years building and deploying RPA solutions with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate Desktop. -Strong skills in workflow design, selectors, queues, exception handling, retry logic, and parallelization. -Proficiency with SQL and APIs (REST/JSON); ability to connect bots to databases and enterprise systems. -Data: SQL Server/PostgreSQL, Excel/Power Query, SharePoint/OneDrive -Solid understanding of accounting workflows (AP/AR, GL postings, reconciliations) and data validation controls. -Clear communication and documentation skills; ability to translate business processes into technical specs (PDD/SDD). -Power Platform (Power Automate cloud, Power Apps), Power BI, and DAX for reporting handoffs.
