The Role

Overview

Oversee daily manufacturing, lead team, implement lean, ensure safety/quality.

Tasks

-Handle administrative tasks including time/attendance, disciplinary actions, labor reporting, and workforce planning. -Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, TPM, and material flow. -Collaborate with quality teams to address defects, implement corrective actions, and enhance product reliability. -Manage daily production schedules to meet output targets, deadlines, and internal customer requirements. -Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability through training and daily engagement. -Participate in mentorship and training programs to develop leadership capabilities. -Participate in Tier meetings and execute leader standard work to drive daily accountability. -Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads for optimal efficiency. -Supervise, coach, and support a team of production employees to ensure smooth and efficient operations. -Learn from site leadership how to lead teams and ensure process adherence. -Drive daily accountability through the Tier meeting process to ensure that all levels of information flow in the factory are accurate and driving continuous learning and improvement. -Collaborate with site leadership to drive plant performance and ensure alignment with startup goals. -Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. -Maintain training matrices and labor plans to support workload balancing and labor optimization. -Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. -Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental and company policies. -Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications for air handling unit production. -Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s), driving actions to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. -Identify and resolve production bottlenecks in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams. -Support new product introductions and changes, ensuring proper training and implementation on the floor. -Communicate effectively with leadership and staff, providing regular updates on production status and challenges.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with air handling systems and manufacturing processes is a plus. -5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC, air handling, or related industries. -3 years of Production Supervisor experience. -Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on leadership style. -Analytical thinking with a drive to identify and implement process improvements. -Strong motivation to lead, take ownership, and make an impact on production operations. -Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership. -Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
