Tasks

For more than 50 years, KOMPAN has researched, designed, and built innovative and imaginative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that captivate all ages and abilities. -Assist with data entry, reporting, and ad hoc projects as assigned -Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances -Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting -Reconcile daily deposits and apply them to appropriate accounts -Record incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit card, etc.) -Perform administrative tasks associated with set up and maintaining travel accounts -Support month-end close activities (e.g., journal entries, reconciliations) -Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy -Maintain accounting files and documentation for audit readiness -Assist with proactive collection efforts and escalate as needed -Address and resolve billing discrepancies or client inquiries -Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time

KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Accounting Specialist for our Austin office. This role will support our Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. This is an ideal role for someone looking to start their accounting career in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where learning and accuracy matter. -Ability to work independently and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment -Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or expense platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Acubiz, Egencia, NetSuite, SAP) -Clear and professional communication skills -1-2 years of experience in an accounting role -Attention to detail with a knack for catching discrepancies -Internship or co-op experience in a finance/accounting team (a plus but not required)
