Senior Renewable Energy Technical Advisor

Tasks

-Translate technical findings into financial model inputs and commercial implications for lenders and investors. -Shape a growing renewable advisory platform with global reach and real influence on strategy and growth. -Collaborate with top-tier lenders, investors, and developers leading the clean energy transition. -Contribute to technical assessments of key project contracts (TSA, EPC, O&M). -Lead and/or support independent solar (PVSyst) and/or Wind Energy EYA tools, including data screening, loss factor analysis and probabilistic scenarios (P50/P90). -Collaborate with wider infrastructure advisory colleagues on permitting, contracts, and schedule reviews. -Support technical reviews of major equipment (wind turbines, PV modules, inverters, etc.). -Prepare clear, concise, lender-ready sections and report under sometimes compressed timelines. -Review electrical and grid interconnection designs, including single-line diagrams, compliance, and interconnection studies. -Deliver high-quality technical due diligence across scopes required for financing and transactions.

What You Bring

-Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering or physics disciplines considered). -Strength in either energy yield analysis or electrical/interconnection review, with willingness to grow into both. -Independent energy yield analysis (solar and/or wind) -Familiarity with PVSyst (solar) and/or Wind Energy EYA tools. -Strong communication skills — able to distill technical findings into clear financial insights. -Project management experience, ideally for technical due diligence mandates -Exposure to project coordination or technical leadership within due diligence or development contexts. -Understanding of grid interconnection studies, electrical design, and compliance. -Experience delivering bankable EYAs and lender/investor reports is an asset. -3–7 years’ experience in technical due diligence, Independent Engineer/LTA work, or developer/owner-side technical roles.
