The Role

Overview

Lead workshop staff, oversee production, safety, quality, and project delivery.

Tasks

-Leading and mentoring high performing production staff and supervisors, including training, and performance. -Lead safety initiatives, manage regulatory requirements, and ensure full compliance. -Monitor output and adjust processes to meet scope, schedule and quality requirements. -Ensure products meet quality standards and resolve defects in collaboration with QA teams. -Monitor and address any health and safety risks in the workplace. -Schedule resources and activities to coincide with forecasted metrics. -Optimise workflows and resource allocation to ensure efficient and timely project delivery. -Lead, track, and monitor reporting requirements, including HSE and work-in-progress (WIP) data and WBS-level reporting.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of lean, 6 sigma or kaizen-based manufacturing -Leadership experience required and qualification desirable. -Current Schedule 26 qualification or the ability to obtain it. -A relevant trade qualification (Electrical / Diesel Mechanic) or university degree. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills. -Experienced in project design, execution, and defect management.
