Engineer innovative and sustainable solutions for the future of data centres. Join our international and multidisciplinary team of passionate design engineers and help us create high-quality, sustainable, and innovative data centre structures. You will work on medium to large-scale mission-critical projects, covering all stages of design — from concept to construction supervision and handover. Shape a future with purpose at Arup in Frankfurt, Berlin or Düsseldorf. -Connect solutions/ideas to bigger picture project and client goals -Lead the preparation and review of design deliverables -Lead projects and work closely with our data center clients to deliver quality work to meet their specific needs -Mentor and supervise junior staff and collaborate with skillful multidisciplinary teams maximizing our experience at the local, regional, and global level -As part of an interdisciplinary team of architects, advisors & engineers you will work alongside other experts. -Lead the design of mechanical systems (Cooling, HVAC, PH, Fire Fighting, Diesel supply systems) on medium to largescale Mission Critical projects through all design stages from Concept to Construction Supervision and HandOver -Deliver timely feedback and recognition to others -Design of different cooling solutions -Coordinate with other internal and external project stakeholders including other disciplines, authorities, public service providers and international clients

What You Bring

-Ability to manage project deliverables and budgets while effectively prioritizing your tasks -Present technical content for review by technical and nontechnical audiences. Have a good grasp over trends and standard methodologies in the industry -University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent -Familiar with EEFG requirements, PUE/ WUE calculations -Knowledge in relevant German codes and Industry standards -Experience with 3D BIM software Revit MEP -Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for teambased working -Fluent in English and ideally German -Understanding of Tier Levels (UI, TUEV IT) and SPOF Analysis -Experienced with Technical Due Diligence projects -8 or more years of experience designing mission critical mechanical systems for industrial facilities, experience with Data Centers is a plus
