Controls Product Manager

Overview

Develop and manage equipment control strategy and product lifecycle for HVAC systems.

Tasks

-Coordinate activities with other departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, and technical literature, to ensure synergies of objectives and successful product launches. -Support the Technical Response Center and Quality Assurance for controls related issues as required. -Maintain contacts with key internal customers to ensure coordination between product development efforts and control implementation strategies. -Drive the controls strategy for the equipment business unit. -Analyze market trends and potential and identify market opportunities. -Recommend modifications of existing products to leverage new features and cost reduction opportunities. -Develop methods for field testing programs (alpha/beta sites) to determine control performance and user acceptance. -Maintain contact with key external customers via customer/site visits and VOC initiatives to ensure alignment between customer expectations and unit control implementation. -Define and maintain unit controller and related accessory portfolios. -Develop and recommend marketing objectives, including performance goals, feature content, and “user experience” strategies. -Develop and recommend new control product concepts. -Direct market development supporting the “One Daikin” corporate initiatives. -Perform role as “Product Owner”, including participation in team meetings, establishing priorities, and approving controls related development activities. -Provide requirements to the product development team and external suppliers to clearly define high-level functionality, timelines, and cost expectations.

What You Bring

-Experience Industrial Automation (strongly preferred) -Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (Technical, Engineering or Scientific) Mechanical Engineering Preferred -HVAC or Industrial Controls experience (strongly preferred) -5 years related experience -The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth -Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position -Experience Managing :  Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) (strongly preferred)
