Tasks
-Legal Deadline Management: Implement robust deadline management systems with escalation protocols for critical legal compliance dates -Dispute Resolution Framework: Establish legally sound grievance mechanisms compliant with Industrial Disputes Act and relevant state legislation -Legal Audit Support: Provide legal expertise during regulatory audits, investigations, and compliance reviews -Third-Party Legal Compliance: Ensure legal compliance of contractors, vendors, and service providers with applicable labor laws -Legal Repository Management: Ensure maintenance of organized legal document repositories with appropriate digital access and security protocols -Statutory Legal Obligations: Oversee legal compliance with mandatory filings including PF, ESI, professional tax, and other statutory obligations under relevant labor legislation -Legal Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient legal processes and procedures -Legal Interpretation & Guidance: Provide authoritative legal interpretations of employment laws, regulations, and internal policies to business stakeholders -Legal Response Strategy: Ensure timely and legally appropriate responses to all legal matters within prescribed limitation periods -Legal Matter Analysis: Conduct detailed legal analysis of disputes, claims, and regulatory matters to assess legal merit and business impact -Legal Accountability Framework: Establish clear legal responsibility matrices for compliance tasks across departments and external advisors -Legal Incident Management: Lead legal response to employment-related incidents, violations, and regulatory inquiries -Legal Training & Advisory: Design and deliver legal training programs on employment law compliance for management and staff -Legal Compliance Reporting: Develop comprehensive legal compliance reports for various stakeholders with appropriate legal analysis -Legal Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as primary legal liaison with external counsel, consultants, and regulatory authorities -Legal Notice Administration: Establish systematic processes for receipt, evaluation, and response to legal notices, summons, and legal communications -Legislative Monitoring: Monitor and analyze changes in labor and employment legislation, providing legal opinions on business impact -Legal Policy Development: Lead legal review and development of employment policies ensuring statutory compliance and legal best practices -Legal Documentation Systems: Maintain comprehensive legal document repositories with appropriate access controls and version management -Regulatory Legal Updates: Provide regular legal briefings on changes in employment law affecting business operations -Legal Tracker Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive legal and compliance tracking systems covering labor related regulatory obligations -Legal Risk Management: Conduct legal risk assessments for business decisions and provide strategic legal advice on risk mitigation -Drafting, negotiating and monitoring employment-related contracts, letters, legal notices and other legally binding documents for the company, clients and vendors. -Legal Program Design: Design legally compliant frameworks and programs tailored to organizational requirements -Legal Analytics & Reporting: Generate analytical reports on legal compliance trends, risks, and performance metrics -Legal Audit & Risk Assessment: Conduct periodic legal compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential legal exposures and ensure regulatory adherence -Legal Policy Framework Development: Draft, review, and implement legally compliant employment policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with statutory requirements and judicial precedents -Legal Documentation Management: Maintain and ensure renewal of all statutory licenses, registrations, and legal authorizations required for business operations -Legal Coordination: Coordinate with external legal counsel, internal stakeholders, and regulatory authorities for effective legal matter resolution -HR Legal Support: Provide specialized legal counsel to HR functions on employment law compliance, policy development, and procedural matters -Compliance Reporting: Prepare comprehensive legal compliance reports for senior management highlighting regulatory risks and mitigation strategies -Legal Technology Management: Oversee legal technology tools and systems for compliance tracking and matter management -Regulatory Legal Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal analysis to ensure adherence to all applicable labor and employment statutes, including Industrial Relations Code, Wages Code, Social Security Code, and Occupational Safety Code -Legal Escalation Protocols: Design and implement escalation procedures for high-risk legal and compliance matters

What You Bring
-Professional Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of substantive legal and compliance experience gained at established corporations or reputable law firms. -Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced business environments. -Education & Credentials: Law degree from a reputed law school with admission to the Bar Council of India or other relevant legal association in India. -Language Skills: Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one Indian language.
