Tasks

-Operation of extrusion equipment -Impart quality into every part through attention to detail and execution of in-process control plan -Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment following the principles of 5S -Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear -Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. -Safely operate production equipment/build product per work instructions -Complete daily/weekly preventative maintenance of assigned equipment -Execute daily handoffs to the day shift by communicating production rates and operational status -Ensure efficient use of time and equipment, ensuring that the appropriate records are maintained and that tight inventory control and security are maintained -Ensure that manufacturing transactions are accurately entered into our MRP System -Distribute and monitor work orders to team members -Operation of blow molding, thermal forming, injection molding, or extrusion equipment -Lead 2nd shift team utilizing the UCG quality principles including an emphasis on continuous improvement -Assist in continuous improvement

What You Bring

-Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word is required -2-5 years of one of the following skills are strongly preferred: -Plastic or metal welding and fabrication certification -A high school degree is required. An associate’s degree is preferred -Must have attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention -A forklift license is a plus -Must be a good communicator and self-motivated. Must be able to follow verbal and written communications/directions -Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -Candidates with operator experience outside of plastics will be considered -Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance -Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
