Lead and manage Gulf Coast geospatial team, overseeing projects, staff, and business development.

Tasks

-Actively manage geospatial projects and tasks, including spatial data workflows, budgets, and timelines. -Address personnel and project-related issues proactively and constructively. -Support and review cost estimates and budget development for proposals and new opportunities. -Oversee geospatial and data services activities within the Gulf Coast region for the Business Center (BC). -Lead business development efforts for geospatial services in the region. -Provide leadership and management to direct reports, including recruitment and onboarding of new team members. -Lead the Year-End Performance Review (YEPR) and compensation review process in accordance with Stantec policy. -Strategize, plan, and coordinate project assignments to ensure efficient execution. -Lead by example and promote cross-team collaboration. -Work with BC leadership to promote integration across disciplines and geographies. -Guarantee timely and effective delivery of project requirements. -Ensure adherence to established Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes. -Oversee staff utilization and resource allocation, collaborating with BC leadership (BCOL, BCPLs, and other Team Leaders) as needed to support team growth and performance. -Foster a strong health and safety culture within the team. -Manage formal and informal training initiatives, provide mentorship, and identify opportunities for professional development. -Establish and maintain strong working relationships, serving as a liaison between internal teams, clients, project managers, discipline leads, and external consultants. -Collaborate with BCPLs and technical teams to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement in field operations. -Complete operational tasks such as reviewing and approving timecards, expenses, and vacation requests.

What You Bring

-Strong problem-solving, organizational, collaboration, and coordination abilities. -Proven experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. -Minimum 10 years’ experience -Prior consulting experience will be considering an asset -Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, including mentoring and project-based supervision. -Proven ability to influence, support, and inspire team members. -Advanced knowledge of the Esri product suite. -Ability to write clear and compelling proposals and reports. -Experience delivering geospatial products and analytical solutions in the context of environmental studies is considered an asset. -Solid project management experience. -Proficient in Esri ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap (for legacy projects), ArcGIS Online, and the ArcGIS Field Maps App. -Prior management experience will be considering an asset -Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. -Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in dynamic and high-pressure settings is an asset. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -A degree or diploma in a discipline related to Geospatial
