Produce land planning documents and designs in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Tasks
-Work with the senior certified planner to build increasing skills to review and interpret regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans. -Work with senior certified planners to develop and refine design solutions. -Increasing responsibility to participate in project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies. -Work with the senior certified planner to build increasing skills to prepare due diligence analysis, land development concepts, master development plans, and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats. -Visit construction sites to gather information, review design intent, inform and support senior project team members during the construction phase. -Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities, constraints, and layout options for development. -Assist in editing technical plans, details, and specifications. -Ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the Planning service.

What You Bring
-Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Portfolio or work samples may be required if considered for an interview. -Use in depth knowledge of entitlement procedures and required regulatory approvals. -0-3 years of professional experience (Master’s Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience). -Strong freehand illustration and computer rendering skills. -Use in depth knowledge of land planning theory and concepts in preparing land development concepts and master development plans. -Working toward or desire to gain certification for American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). -Handle multiple priorities well. -Four-year degree in Planning or related field. -Computer skills including AutoCAD, Sketch-up, 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design), Microsoft Word, MS Excel, and Geographic Information System (GIS). -Working toward or gained sustainability credential (LEED and/or ENVISION).
