Tasks

-Allocates and deallocates inventory and update batches as needed -Processes inbound and outbound shipment orders -Operational Influence: Play a central role in optimizing shipping, receiving, and inventory processes across a 3-shift distribution operation. -Serves as relief supervisor as needed and can manage the workforce in the absence of the regular supervisor. Can drive safety and productivity while servicing our orders day to day. -Transforming buildings from structures that shelter into structures that serve and preserve the health and well-being of people and planet; -Dynamic, High-Impact Work: Engage in hands-on logistics, scheduling, and problem-solving that directly support efficient customer order fulfillment. -Plans loading and inbound shipment receipt schedules -Investigates, troubleshoots, and corrects order variances by communicating with customer service, production planning, Distribution Center personnel, and any other groups involved in processing customer orders -Processes load lists and prioritize loads for the warehouse palletizing and unitizing crew to build mixed loads -Organizes and prioritizes the unloading of all inbound orders for the receiving crew, including setting the unload dock door assignments -Plans the schedule for outbound shipments to maximize productivity -Processes and ensure the accuracy of all shipment paperwork -Works with customer service, using the SCALE (Manhattan) Warehouse Management System (WMS) and SAP to create computer generated load lists -Directs drivers and unitizing/job pack crews to complete loads, including loading dock door assignment -Resolves workflow issues between SAP and SCALE -Communicates with carriers to schedule and expedite shipments and resolve conflicts -Assists in ensuring inventory accuracy

What You Bring

-Ability to delegate and direct work as needed -5+ years of coordination and scheduling experience in a busy, fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment -High school diploma or GED -Proficiency with Microsoft Office -Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment -Proven experience exercising independent judgment and decision making -SAP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience -Previous experience in a manufacturing plant -Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal -Demonstrated experience with scheduling and prioritizing the work of others -Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management software programs
