Tasks

-Assist in other work areas as assigned -Produce quality work at company standard efficiency level for assigned work center -Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results) -Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures -Obtain and maintain weld certifications in two or more welding processes specific to employee’s location -Uphold site efficiency standards -Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead -Arrange parts for welding and staging processes -Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and procedures -Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs -Meet or exceed company PPM level standards by consistently producing quality work

What You Bring

-Understand welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipment -Possess a basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipment -Work completely independently without supervision -Cross trained in multiple workstations -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions -Trouble shoot and resolve issues in assigned work center -1+ years in a metal manufacturing setting preferred -High School Diploma -Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals -Pass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminum -Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
