Tasks

-Inspection Oversight: Oversee QA/QC Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate inspections and reporting. -Serves as a mentor to less-experienced Commissioning and quality Specialists -Partners with Lead/Manager to coordinate correction of deficiencies found during the commissioning and quality process. -Tool Utilization: Administer and ensure effective use of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other system tools to update startup and commissioning items. -Verifies results of tests reports; assists with trouble-shooting of commissioned equipment as necessary. -Develops and administers functional tests, mechanical inspections and quality checks for both basic and complex mechanical systems, control systems and other relevant systems. Partners with the service department and turns over project for service and warranty. -Communication: Facilitate timely communication of updates and issues to applicable management. -Process Management: Lead the commissioning process, ensuring all systems are inspected, tested, and meet the required standards for acceptance. -Team Validation: Monitor project team activities and validate that all work aligns with the contract documents. -Startup Scheduling: Coordinate equipment startup dates and schedules with vendors, ensuring alignment with project milestones. -Documentation: Oversee the submission of required testing and inspection documentation to secure system approval and facilitate owner training. -Best Practices: Promote adherence to best practices in commissioning and system management. -QA Oversight: Manage the Quality Assurance process to confirm systems and equipment are prepared for startup and commissioning. -Crew Training: Provide training to project crews on commissioning procedures and tools as needed. -Project Monitoring: Ensure all inspections, tests, and QA/QC processes are completed as required by the project scope. -Meeting Participation: Schedule and attend commissioning meetings, collaborating with the Manager to address and resolve any issues. -Obtains equipment and startup documentation for the mechanical and control work. -Interfaces with clients, contractors and equipment vendors as needed.

What You Bring

-Ability to coordinate projects -3+ years’ hands-on experience setting up and testing HVAC systems, including complex systems -You enjoy being a coach and mentoring; and can help develop a staff -Strong working knowledge of HVAC control systems required -Strong ability to effectively prioritize -Strong attention to detail -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems required -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel and Outlook required -Ability to read and interpret more complex construction documents (mechanical drawings, specifications, etc.) -Ability to work independently and can make decisions and implement changes. You're good at developing and implementing policies. -Strong knowledge of Autodesk applications -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related field preferred or applicable experience
