The Role

Overview

Leads underground excavation crew, manages site prep, safety, and project coordination.

Tasks

-Report hazards and follow safe work practices. -Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed. -Supervise and guide the underground crew, ensuring tasks are completed according to project plans. -Maintain daily logs and report progress to the Project Manager. -Monitor work quality and ensure it meets company and client standards. -Manage materials, tools, and equipment; track labor hours and material usage. -Interpreting blueprints and layouts. -Work with Project Managers to plan and schedule activities; coordinate with other trades on-site. -Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections.

What You Bring

-Strong leadership, problem-solving, customer service, blueprint reading and communication abilities. -2+ years in underground; 1+ years in a supervisory role. -Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed. -Stamina to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods. -Must be able to be insured under company vehicle insurance policy. -Valid driver’s license. -Exposure to construction sites with varying levels of noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation. -Outdoor:Primarily outdoor work, often in challenging weather conditions.Exposure to construction sites with varying levels of noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation.Frequent interaction with crew members, subcontractors, and other site personnel. -Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites. -Concrete finishing knowledge and experience. -Frequent interaction with crew members, subcontractors, and other site personnel. -Capable of working in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. -Basic computer skills. -Primarily outdoor work, often in challenging weather conditions.
