Operate forklift to handle billets, logs, ovens and maintain safety in extrusion plant.

Tasks

-Completes “Lift truck operator’s daily inspection report.” -Complies with company safety and housekeeping specifications. -Verifies proper ID & selection of billets/logs for each order. -Empties scrap and chip hoppers as needed. -Checks and maintains ovens, loads and unloads ovens, makes hourly checks. -Ensure that racks, skids and baskets are ready for operators. -Check billet/logs availability for daily schedule for due dates. -Responsible for minor maintenance on forklift, checks fluid levels and general condition.

What You Bring

-Has read and understands work instructions for extrusion presses and age ovens. -Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English. -Must read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to their specific position. -High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. -Must have good driving skills. -Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to their specific position.
