Senior design engineer delivering water and wastewater project designs.

Tasks

-Assist in ensuring procedural governance is adhered to. -Developing and supporting staff to encourage them towards accreditation with professional bodies (e.g., ICE, IET, IMechE, IChemE). -Provide technical compliance and quality on design outputs. Default checker for design outputs to ensure technical assurance and quality control. -Assist the Principal Designer Lead in ensuring CDM regulations compliance. -Seek optimal solutions/efficient designs that balance capital and operational cost benefits. -Design for buildability, safe construction, and operation, working alongside project delivery peers.

What You Bring

-Excellent knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering design in water engineering. -Demonstrable experience of + 7 years working within the Municipal Water and Wastewater Industries, working with a number of clients. -Preference for Chartered Member of a recognised professional Engineering body. -Competent in reviewing subcontractors documentation. -Experience of working in accordance with QA and H&S procedures. -Competent in a contracting / consulting environment, with commercial awareness. -Knowledge of current H&S legislation and British Standards. -Educated to Degree level in Engineering or other equivalent qualification.
