The Role

Overview

Design and lead civil water/wastewater infrastructure projects, mentoring staff.

Tasks

-Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure technical accuracy. -Collaborate closely with Project Managers and mentor junior engineers. -Make impactful design decisions that align with client goals and project timelines. -Lead and execute civil site design tasks across diverse infrastructure projects. -Use professional judgment to independently complete assigned engineering designs. -Support construction oversight and respond to contractor inquiries. -Act as a technical expert on assigned projects and as Project Manager on smaller scope or specialty projects as assigned. -Identify and resolve technical, scheduling, or financial challenges. -Contribute to proposals, cost estimates, and client communications.

What You Bring

-Ability to use other engineering automation tools (Revit, BIM 360) is preferred. -Must demonstrate two-way communication to effectively work with internal staff. -Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans. -Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activities. -At least three years of design/engineering experience in municipal infrastructure is required. -Intermediate to advanced ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required.
