Tasks

-Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers and discipline leads. -Employee Ownership: Participate in an ESOP and share in the firm’s success. -Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. -Serve as a technical mentor and resource for junior staff, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing. -Conduct calculations and analyses for foundations, floor and roof assemblies to support complex equipment and process layouts. -Lead structural design for concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. -Prepare technical reports, memorandums, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

What You Bring

This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to apply their expertise in structural design while making a tangible impact on communities and critical infrastructure. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with PE licensure in North Carolina (or ability to obtain via reciprocity). -Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results. -8+ years of municipal engineering experience, specifically in water and wastewater structural design. -Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset. -Strong command of state building codes, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and TMS design standards. -Valid driver’s license and ability to pass standard background, motor vehicle, and drug screenings.
