Pre-finish Technician (Paint Prep/Assembly)

Overview

Prepare and finish windows/doors by staining/painting, assembling, and repackaging.

Tasks

-The position also requires sanding, cleaning, and masking products with a high level of detail -Complete any other departmental responsibilities assigned by your supervisor and team lead including cleaning and stocking materials -Move product from station to station throughout the production process facilitating the daily production goals -Comply with the established Safety Policies and guidelines -Unpack the product using a process that allows you to reuse the original packaging material -While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and lift. -Disassemble, reassemble and re-package window and door products without damage -Stage completed material on carts for return to the Warehouse -The employee must frequently push, pull and maneuver -Stain windows/doors to match the expected color the customer has approved -Drives safety in the environment, through the implementation of safe processes and develops a safety conscious work team

What You Bring

-Good organizational skills and attention to detail -Ability to use power and hand tools, masking tape tool and hand sanding pads required -High school diploma or GED -Routine heavy lifting up to 50 pounds using safe lifting techniques -25 pounds from floor level several times a day without assistance -36” wide sashes without assistance -Adaptable to changing processes and priorities -Heavy oversized glass -Knowledge of general construction applications (window and door applications preferred) -Ability to stand for majority of shift -Excellent verbal and written English language skills -8’ door panels without assistance
