Strategic Procurement Specialist

Tasks

-Execute annual PPV activities with assigned supply base -Document process and procedures to support procurement department -Support RMA process for assigned part categories -Manage all procurement aspect's specific part categories, such as excess and shortages, past due purchase orders, and daily receipts of purchased parts -Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building / maintaining relationships -Work within the ERP system to evaluate and issue purchase orders to suppliers -Drive improvement to reduce excess and obsolete inventory -Work with supplier to develop improvement action plans when necessary -Negotiate with supplier to generate positive PPV -Track and publish supplier KPI’s

What You Bring

-Strong working knowledge of mechanical procurement concepts and technical drawings -CPSM Certification -In office less than 25% of travel -CPSM Certification is a plus. -Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an ability to “read” the market -Skilled use of all Microsoft Office products -Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five to seven years’ experience -Significant ERP experience (IFS experience, a plus)
