Operating Engineer

Overview

Maintain and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems for commercial building

Key Responsibilities

• emergency response
• preventive maintenance

Tasks

-Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable) -Join an industry leader and shape the future of commercial real estate -Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, Steam boiler, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance -Comply with all safety procedures -Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, HVAC and pneumatic controls -Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks -Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs -Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests

What You Bring

-3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs -Strong customer service skills -Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable -Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive -Comfort working at height -Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance) -Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
