Materials Controller Assistant

Overview

Assist Materials Controller with handling, tracking and distributing construction materials.

Tasks

-Receiving and unpacking material deliveries, inspecting for accuracy and damage -Collaborating with site teams to deliver services aligned with contract and company standards -Safely disposing of waste materials in compliance with HSE regulations -Managing material handling, including loading, unloading, and transporting items manually or with pallet trucks -Assisting the materials controller in maintaining accurate records of materials issued and received -Sending out materials to teams on-site -Reporting site issues to the purchasing team, site teams, or contracts managers for resolution

-Written and verbal communication skills -Prioritisation skills and flexibility to meet commitments and deadlines -Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks -Proven experience in working with construction materials used in property refurbishment -CSCS card -Asbestos Awareness Training -Organised with administration skills -Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with various teams -Trained Mental Health First Aiders support -Manual Handling Training -Access to a vehicle (preferred) and flexibility to travel to multiple sites
