-Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice. -Effectively develop and manage project designs for high performance building systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management. -Lead the team and the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects in mission critical and commercial sectors. -Attend field visits, develop visit reports, meet with contractors as necessary. -Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with clients and other team members. -Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications and construction documents for high performance building systems.
-Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams. -Minimum 12+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance buildings. Subject Matter Expert in specialized fields highly preferred. -Professional commitment to sustainability is highly preferred, LEED accreditation a bonus. -Fluency in software for design, documentation, coordination, MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and cloud tools. -Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. -Professional Engineering license required. -Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects, working in dynamic team environments.
