Tasks

This position plays a critical role in leading welding and fabrication teams to deliver high-quality steel products on time and to specification. By ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards, you’ll keep projects moving efficiently while supporting team growth and development. Your leadership helps the company maintain its reputation for excellence in structural steel solutions. -Oversee safety, quality, and productivity within the welding department -Supervise daily welding and fabrication operations across assigned projects -Review drawings, specifications, and weld symbols for accuracy before execution -Monitor materials, equipment, and supplies to avoid downtime -Coordinate with project managers and department leads to align priorities and resolve issues -Train, mentor, and evaluate welders and fabrication staff to ensure consistent performance -Ensure compliance with AWS, AISC, and internal quality standards

What You Bring

-AWS certifications or equivalent welding qualifications preferred -5+ years of welding/fabrication experience in the structural steel industry -Strong knowledge of welding techniques, symbols, and inspection requirements -Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications -Proven leadership and communication skills with experience managing teams -Previous supervisory or lead role strongly preferred -Safety-first mindset with a track record of maintaining compliant, incident-free worksites
