Tasks
-Analyzing complex structures, -Managing and leading a small project -Performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures -Develop and review specifications, including design criteria -Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution -Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting -Analyzing complex structures -Vendor drawing review, intergroup review – squad checking -Engineering and fabricator drawing checking -Apply cost competitive execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work -Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines -Vendor drawing review and intergroup review (squad checking)

What You Bring
-Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job -Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials -Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs -Proficient with structural design software such as RISA-3D -Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors -Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines -Computer modeling and analysis -Indicate strong technical interests and background with structural engineering subjects such as design of large structural steel and concrete structures including heavy foundations, seismic engineering, and dynamic analysis of structures supporting vibrating equipment. -Dynamic analysis and design -Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner -Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations (structural) -Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements -Practical field experience -Professional registration (preferred) -Capable to undertake structural engineering work related to resource project development and construction, in one or more of the following areas: -Computer modeling and analysis (structural) -Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of moderate or complex engineering problems. Should be able to demonstrate basic understanding of structural behavior and design principles. -Dynamic analysis and design (structural)
