Design and permit highway/roadway projects using CAD and engineering standards.

Tasks

-Construction specifications review and estimating of costs and quantities; -Use engineering equipment and design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Guidesign, AutoTURN, etc.) to prepare engineering and design documents; -Geometric designs of highways, freeways, and local roads using national and local codes; -Complete ADA inspections of constructed facilities; and -Design of roadway drainage networks and preparation of stormwater management plans; -Design of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements; -Preparation of construction plans; -Preparation of Traffic Signalization drawings and plans; -Concept layout and preliminary design of roads; -Preparation of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans (MPT);

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; -Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; -Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing. -Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and -EIT certification, or ability to sit for FE exam in near future, preferred; -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; -Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office; -0-3 years of work-related experience;
