Lead design, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while supervising staff.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for urgent electrical issues that require immediate attention -Offer expert advice and recommendations on electrical solutions tailored to client requirements -Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical problems in systems such as circuits, controls, motors, and transformers -Hands-on work with power distribution, control systems, wiring, lighting, motors, and other electrical components -Estimate project timelines, budgets, and material requirements for electrical work -Recommend and implement upgrades or retrofits to improve system performance or meet updated codes and standards -Plan and design complex electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, to meet project specifications and client requirements -Oversee the installation of wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, panels, and other electrical components in residential, commercial, or industrial settings -Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance and address any deficiencies noted during audits or reviews -Respond to emergency calls and resolve urgent electrical issues efficiently -Ensure all necessary permits and documentation are obtained for electrical work and inspections -Delegate tasks to team members, monitor their performance, and provide technical support when needed -Coordinate with other trades (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, carpentry) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into broader construction projects -Work primarily in a commercial environment and outdoors for field repairs -Manage resources efficiently, including tools, equipment, and materials, to minimize waste and control costs -Perform repairs on faulty or damaged electrical systems, ensuring functionality and safety -Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems into construction plans -Mentor less experienced electricians and apprentices, fostering their growth and development in the trade -Identify potential safety hazards and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks -Lead and train electricians, journeymen, and apprentices to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard -Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure ongoing reliability and efficiency
-Meticulous approach to ensuring the accuracy and quality of electrical work -Skilled in using advanced electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, voltage testers, and infrared thermography tools -Maintain a valid Master Electrician license and other required certifications -Expertise in scheduling and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining work quality -Experience handling time-sensitive electrical emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, or hazardous situations -4-7 years of experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician -Strong commitment to workplace safety, with the ability to enforce compliance with OSHA standards and implement safety protocols -OSHA 10/OSHA 30 or ability to obtain -Strong ability to supervise and mentor electricians, journeymen, and apprentices, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring high-quality work -Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and basic computer programs like Microsoft Office -Familiarity with conducting inspections and addressing deficiencies to ensure projects pass regulatory audits -Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on advancements in electrical technology, tools, and code changes through continuing education or on-the-job training -Ability to identify and mitigate electrical hazards to ensure a safe working environment -Strong organizational skills for maintaining project documentation, compliance records, and inspection reports -Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy equipment, working at heights, and in varying weather conditions -Experience managing electrical aspects of construction projects, ensuring work aligns with specifications, schedules, and budgets -Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure and recommend cost-effective solutions -Driver’s License required -Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to ensure proper system design and installation -Experience estimating project costs, managing budgets, and controlling expenditures to maximize profitability -7-12 years of experience in the electrical trade, including a combination of journeyman-level work and supervisory or leadership roles -Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems quickly and effectively -General Contracting License is a plus -Ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges, such as changing project requirements or equipment failures, and develop appropriate solutions under pressure -Experience managing budgets, materials, and labor for electrical projects to ensure cost-effectiveness and minimize delays -Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers -Master Electrician License or in the window to take exam -Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, address their concerns, and provide expert recommendations -Light to Medium Work. Exerting up to 11 - 50 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects -Proficient in documenting electrical work, preparing project reports, and maintaining compliance records -2-5 years of experience supervising electricians, apprentices, or job site teams -Experience maintaining detailed records of electrical work, including blueprints, permits, and safety reports -Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, wiring, lighting, transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems -Ability to manage tools, materials, and labor efficiently to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget -Experience in coaching and mentoring less experienced electricians to help them improve their skills and advance in their careers -Ability to resolve team disputes or challenges efficiently while maintaining a positive and productive work environment -Experience in a wide range of electrical installations, maintenance, and repair projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings -Experience with energy-efficient technologies, such as solar panels, LED lighting systems, and smart controls -Skilled in handling electrical emergencies, such as system failures or power outages, to minimize downtime and risks -Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues, including diagnosing faults, interpreting schematics, and implementing solutions -Capable of driving a vehicle -High School Diploma or GED required -Proficiency in designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
