Tasks
Record ReStore sales and inventory tracking The Office Accounting Coordinator plays an essential role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records that support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati’s mission. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions including invoice processing, credit card reconciliations, ReStore sales reporting, construction-in-progress tracking, and grant receivable management. The Coordinator ensures compliance with internal controls, assists with project-based accounting processes, and provides financial reporting support to the Finance and Real Estate teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. -Update Mortgage payment schedules and related documentation -Assist or manage invoice entry and approval workflow -Ensure accurate tracking of income, expenses, and intercompany transactions -Record monthly receivables for the Real Estate Department -Collaborate with the Real Estate team on new processes for project accounting and budget management -Review and verify CIP balances at time of house closing -Investigate discrepancies and ensure all transactions are properly recorded -Assist Real Estate team with setting up financial structures to access project resources (i.e. Federal and State Tax Credits) -Perform daily/weekly reconciliation of ReStore deposits across multiple locations -Support Real Estate Team with Mortgage Originations and Closings as needed -Record accounting entries related to inventory and COGS based on sales -Assist in submitting for Grant Funding reimbursement -Support Real Estate team with Funder reporting and compliance -Track grant revenue and ensure proper recognition in accordance with funding terms -Move appropriate costs from CIP to P&L -Assist Director of Finance with forecasting cash flow with a focus on grant receivables and upcoming house closings -Provide timely updates to senior leadership on cash availability -Ensure accurate categorization of expenses and adherence to internal controls

What You Bring
Invoice & Credit Card Processing (via Bill.com) -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies -Proficiency with accounting software and systems (experience with Bill.com and QuickBooks or similar platforms preferred) -Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and internal controls -Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills -Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively across departments -Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision -Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a nonprofit or construction-related organization -Experience with accounts payable, receivable, and grant or project-based accounting -Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
