The Role
Overview
Design and manage life‑science facility projects, from scope to construction.

Tasks
-Assign and review the work of the project design team. Check the progress of work and alert the Project Manager about scope changes or requests for additional services. -Prepare construction budgets based on experience and scope of project. -Assess the requirements of a project, break projects into tasks, and work with Project Managers to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing. -Assists in the education and development of design staff and acts as a resource for design questions. -Write the scope of work for architectural design based on preliminary review and meetings with the client. -Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes. -Reviews contractor applications for payments and has a thorough understanding of the construction process. -Participate in proposal presentations.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of applicable building codes. -Substantial architectural design experience in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Cell & Gene Therapy, Laboratories, Plasma Processing) industries. -The ability to interpret a building program and generate varied design concepts. -Experience with project scope development, programming, conceptual design, pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, material and personnel flow development, material and system evaluation, detail design, and construction administration. -Autodesk Revit drawing experience. -Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within the company and externally with clients and other design professionals. Proficient written and oral communication skills. -Degree educated in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited University. -Experience in Facility Master Planning.
